·         What did you notice while using each ingredient?

I noticed that when we where putting in each ingredient that all of them are powder, i notice that baking soda isn't as dense as sugar.

·         Why do you think this occurred (use scientific launguage)

I think this accured becuase of density

·         Did everything go well during the lab? If no, what would you change next time?

Genocide Research Project

Group Members: _Jordan Klassen And Jayce Martin__

The genocide is a huge topic with a huge amount of information to learn and process.  In order to help you process all this information and narrow down which genocide you want to do your research project on, I want you to look at least 3 genocides and write a few notes about each on this paper.  At the bottom of the page, write which genocide you want to focus your research on.  If a lot of groups want the same genocide, preference will be given to those who have done the best job on these jot notes:

Ukraine:
The Ukraine genocide was August 7 1932-1933.  7 to 10 million people died in this genocide, mostly Ukrainians.  Millions of Ukrainian people starved to death in 1932 to 1933 because of Joseph Stalin, the leader of the USSR,intended to punish them for their resistance to the collectivization or property.

During the entire Soviet rule it was a crime against the state  for Ukrainians to even talk about what had been done to their people.

Bosnia:
-Bosnia war genocide lasted three years and resulted in 200 000  deaths.
-The new world order agendas’ are driven by a need to eliminate  vast  number of people.
-The Bosnia war genocide saw more then 2million  flee as refuges while  more than  200 000 people lost their lives in this horrific Bosnian genocide that began when Bosnian Muslims declared their independence. the west failed to help

Cambodia:

Took place in Cambodia in the 1970’s . an estimated of 2million people massacred . Then  communist leader, pol,pot wanted a country where everyone was equal , which he aimed to achieve  by murdering all the ‘intellection’ which included, doctors, lawyers, foreigners etc: and after awhile  anyone  wearing glasses were not safe. Everyone  else were shipped of out to the country side to work in the Fields .

I want to work on the Ukraine won because I'm half Ukrainian and most of my family speak it and come from there

You received your progress report last Friday and you've had time to reflect on it for a few days. Now, I want you to do some writing on your reflections by answering the questions below in paragraph form. Be sure to edit your writing before you post it. Parents will be looking at your responses during 3-way conferences so make sure you do your best.

What do you think of your progress report? What are you happy with? Why are you not happy with?

I think my report card was good because my mom didnt get mad or anything. all my marks where above 65%. accept for my science I got a low mark It was 58% and my mom was disapointed. I think im going to do better on my second term report card.

What can you do in term 2 in order to improve your progress report?

What ill do for my second report card to get a better mark is that I well study more and bring my homework home, I well listen to instructions and ask more questions.

On the sidewalk bleeding ( Questions )

1.When you form impressions or opinions about people you people you first meet, what kinds of things do you consider: their looks, clothing, where they are, what they are doing, etc?

When I form a first impression of someone, I look at what they are doing . If they are looking at the ground that means there shy, if there looking up it means there not shy or insecure.  If they are smiling than they are a happy person if they look sad it could be that someone died in there family or they could just always look sad but there not.  Another thing I look at is what they are wearing. If they are atheltic, they might be wearing sporty clothes like Nike, and have sports logos all over their clothes.  If they are wearing dark make-up, they might be goth.  Goth people usually don't like jocks, like me, so I stay away from them.

3.How would you answer the question Who are you?.

-When someone asks me who you are for the first time I say im jordan klassen. im a white male im 14 years old and I like snowboarding, swiming, bmxing,. I like going to hang out with friends most of the time .  My favorite food is pizza and i live with my mom and dad and my dog and my brother and sister. I have a ps3 and I game out alot .  In the winter I mostly game out.In the summer I go to the skatepark all the time.

imagine Erica ( Expository Writing )

Imagine Erica, Peter or Daniel's mother are still alive. Pick one of the three characters and ask yourself, "What questions would you like to ask the character?".  Explain why your questions are important to you. Tell the character what you've learned and how you feel after hearing their story. If you can relate her experiences to any conditions facing your generation, explain those connections. Describe for the character what you will do to teach future generations the lessons you've learned from studying the Holocaust.

I would pick Erica out of those three because she got token away from her family and she was in the holocaust alone with no friends or guardians around her. The first question I would ask Erica if the Nazis should be killed or not and why? I think this question is important because the all people are all the same accept skin colors.so I think that the Jews shouldn’t have been killed because Hitler thought they should. My second question is what do i think about the holocaust. I think the holocaust is bad. I learned from that story that normal people where getting killed just cause of one person ( Hitler ) and if Hitler didn’t become chancellor the holocaust it wouldn’t even happen. I think this question is important because  if the Jews where doing this to the Nazis it wouldn’t be a  difference if that would happen. I think this is very disgusting. My third question is would be how is the holocaust affecting you now that it’s over? I think this is important if you see so much babies and kids dead or getting killed or seeing your family dyeing that would be so awful. My fourth question is would you risk your life to save your family. Yes I would try and save my family. I think this question is important because if you did risk your life for your family you would be remembered in your family as a hero.my last question is if my family has died you were the last one in the family and had no one what would you be doing now? This is a very important question because without family you would have no one to care for you and you would be alone and remembering it and thinking about it
