The town of Cudworth

Introduction

     Have you ever been to Cudworth? I have been there many times. The reason why I picked the town of cudworth is because a lot of my family live there and it is a Ukraine town and I’m half Ukraine.

The first pioneers in the late 1800’s came to this area. They are settled west of modern day cudworth. German settlers arrived in 1903 and settled nearby Leofeld. There are two main religions in cudworth and they are German and Ukraine. Cudworth became a town in 1961. The population of from 2001 is 738. The area of cudworth from 2001 is 2,21km2 (0.85 sqmi). The   town cudworth has been named after an Englishmen ralph cudworth. A grain elevator caught on fire Tuesday 2008 on September 16. Cudworth is apromixaly 85km east of Saskatoon. Cudworth has a k-12 school, and 60 local business and 3 Churches.  The three churches are St.micheal’s Roman Catholic Church and holy Eucharist Catholic Church and holy trinity Ukraine church.

So what?

Ralph Cudworth.

 Ralph cudworth was born at Aller, Somerset, he was educated at Emmanuel College, Cambridge, gaining his MA and becoming a Fellow of Emmanuel in 1639.[1] In 1645, he became master of Clare Hall and professor of Hebrew. In 1654, he transferred to Christ's College, Cambridge, and was master there until his death. His great work, entitled The True Intellectual System of the Universe, was published in 1678. He was a leading opponent of Thomas Hobbes.

He was the son of Dr Ralph Cudworth (d. 1624), rector of Aller, formerly fellow of Emmanuel College, Cambridge. His father died in 1624, and his mother then married the Rev. Dr Stoughton, who gave the boy a good home education. Cudworth was sent to his father's college, was elected fellow in 1639, and became a successful tutor. In 1642 he published A Discourse concerning the true Notion of the Lord's Supper, and a tract entitled The Union of Christ and the Church. In 1645 he was appointed master of Clare Hall and the same year was elected Regius professor of Hebrew. He was now recognized as a leader among the remarkable group known as the Cambridge Platonists. The whole party were more or less in sympathy with the Commonwealth, and Cudworth was consulted by John Thurloe, Cromwell's secretary to the council of state, in regard to university and government appointments.

In 1650 he was presented to the college living of North Cadbury, Somerset. From the diary of his friend John Worthington we learn that Cudworth was nearly compelled, through poverty, to leave the university, but in 1654 he was elected master of Christ's College, whereupon he married. In 1662 he was presented to the rectory of Ashwell, Herts. In 1665 he almost quarrelled with his fellow-Platonist, Henry More, because the latter had written an ethical work which Cudworth feared would interfere with his own long-contemplated treatise on the same subject. To avoid clashing, more brought out his book, the Enchiridion ethicum, in Latin; Cudworth's never appeared. Cudworth was installed prebendary of Gloucester in 1678. He died on the 26th of June 1688, and was buried in the chapel of Christ's. His only surviving child, Damaris, a devout and talented woman, became the second wife of Sir Francis Masham. The Lady Masham was distinguished as the friend of John Locke and exchanged letters with Gottfried Leibniz.

Now what

The population is shrinking because all the teenagers are living and moving to Saskatoon or other places. So sometimes I think Cudworth won’t even be a town in 2012. The population in 2001 was 738 and then it went to 2345 in 2005 and then 2567 in 2008 now it’s 2134 in 2011 and I hope it will still be a town in 2012.  Teenagers like to go to bigger high  schools and meet new people.

Conclusion

What if cudworth never existed? Cudworth affected Canadian heritage because if cudworth wasn’t there Saskatchewan maybe wouldn’t be the same size. If Cudworth wasn’t there who knows what would be there. If cudworth wasn’t there may be where it was located would be just all a blank field. People from cudworth such as teenagers leave cudworth because theres really nothing there to do and if there is theres really no people living there and it’s a small town and nowhere to adventure. So teenager’s when they turn 18 or something they move out and go live in Saskatoon or somewhere close. People from cities like to live in small towns such as cudworth because it is peaceful and clean. Theres a lot of nice people in cudworth. Such as old people like to live in towns because it’s so peaceful. There are a lot of young kids living there and there so nice and playful. Cudworth is a small town but people like living in small towns.

Comparing Ponyboy and Greg hefly

Ponyboy and Greg Hefley are two different people.  Ponyboy comes from a place where poverty and crime are common. Greg comes from a ‘’ideal’’ family with parents that love him dearly.  Even though there different they share the same simulations.  Pony boy has 3 older brothers and Greg has one older brother and one younger.

  Pony boy tries to fit in even though he likes books and he has high IQ. Steve thinks pony boy is a little kid. Greg Hefley does anything to fit in. He is mean to his best friend. If he wants to fit in he needs to act like himself and not join something that he can’t do. His older brother thinks his a little kid. His brother always gets him in trouble and Greg gets him in trouble before. They both try hard in school to get to the top of the popularity group.

 Pony boy gets bullied by his older siblings. Darry doesn’t think pony boy fits in. Darry is jealous of high IQ. Pony boy isn’t bad and his siblings are bad. Greg gets bullied by his older brother. He doesn’t want him to succeed in school because his older brother doesn’t. He gets beat up by this girl at his middle school.  

 Pony boy doesn’t fit in because he is smart and their not and he reads books. Greg pushed some kids in a hole and didn’t even care. He let his best friend get the blame. So his best friend becomes popular and he doesn’t. He broke his friends arm by and accident and he became popular.

As you can see ponyboy and Greg share the same similarities.  They both get beat up by their family members and other people. They both do not use their heads and I think ponyboy’s experience is worse than Greg’s.  I think even I share a lot of these characteristics that ponyboy and Greg share do you?

14 YEAR OLD HUNG HERSELF

Your Honour.
My daughter committed suicide because of these young girls who bullied my daughter and scared her enough for to kill herself. I think these girls should do some time in prison for murder and threat. I lost a very important person in my life because of some selfish people who don’t think before they do something like this they should feel like idiots if I were the parents of these girls I would give up on them and let them do the time. She wrote the note and said that death was her only escape. If I found my daughter hanging in her closet I would drop dead I wouldn’t believe it and she should have told me and I would have called the police first thing and she wouldn’t have had to kill herself but if I did It would be my fault because they would bully her harder than they used to. My daughter didn’t even get to live the rest of her life she killed herself at the young age of 14 years old. My son found my daughter and when he told me she has killed herself that she was dead it was unbelievable. The third girl who was charged for threatening Dawn Marie Wesley still faces trial. She could have done so much things in her life if she hasn’t have killed herself or else she could have moved to a different school so she would have stopped getting bullied she didn’t get to be married or have a child or get a job or graduate from high school and even get her own vehicle and her own house and she won’t be here when I get older. If she would be alive rite now I think these bullies would be beating her without me even me knowing it. She could have had a better life that she did have but she kept herself and getting bullied a secret. Her friends lost something in there life’s also and she lost friends. My daughter could be alive home and still getting bullied but still alive and has friends and still will graduate and all the things she could have when she gets older. Dawn Marie Wesley was way too scared to tell the bullies to stop if told them to stop the bullies would most likely keep bullying her more and more every time she said anything or anything to anybody she could have got these girls expelled from there school for bullying her and they would be out of their life’s but if they wanted to bully her that much they would probably go to her school after school and bully her again. But know that she is dead these girls are stuck in jail for what they did and are staying in jail for a really long time and not messing up people family and lives know their school is out of getting bullied and anyone who bullies is going to go through the same thing as the bullies that are locked up and aren’t going to get the life as other people and when they get out they aren’t going to get anywhere with their life’s they won’t be able to get a job or get anything because of their records. The bullies practically screwed up there life’s because of them thinking they can take control in other people’s life’s they will most likely start doing drugs getting into gangs keep getting in trouble and keep going back to jail and maybe even get there self’s killed getting involved with the wrong people
